We are pleased to welcome Michelle Theuma from Worktree. With 28 years of experience in recruitment, Michelle has seen first-hand how the right opportunities can transform lives and how purpose-driven businesses build stronger, more engaged, and values-aligned teams. As a Women’s Leader Award winner for Community Impact by Volunteering, and in her role as New Partnerships Executive at local employability charity Worktree, Michelle shows how supporting employability initiatives isn’t just about “giving back” - it’s a practical, strategic way to build team morale, confidence, and loyalty. When employees mentor, volunteer, or share their expertise, they develop leadership skills, stronger teamwork, and a deeper sense of pride in the organisation they represent. Crucially, this approach works for businesses of every size. Whether you’re a team of five or fifty, small, consistent actions can have a big impact without stretching time or resources. At the same time, these efforts directly support Corporate Social Responsibility goals, delivering measurable social value while helping you attract great people and strengthen your workplace culture.

We will also hear from Odette Mould from Harry’s Rainbow and the important work they do. Harry's Rainbow has walked alongside families through their darkest days, offering comfort, guidance, and a safe space to grieve. The heartache of loss and grief is a deeply profound and complex personal experience with emotional impact which reverberates through families and communities. This natural human response to loss is a universal experience, but each journey is unique. As we approach our 15th anniversary later this year, I reflect on an incredible milestone of supporting over 1,000 bereaved children and young people. The wider positive impact on the families, communities and schools is immeasurable. My hope is to be able to offer our help and support for another 15 years and to many more thousands of children and young people who are grieving in Milton Keynes.
